Budgeting Team
Teresa Trejo, Budget Manager, responsible for developing and acting as a University representative in budget negotiations for industry-sponsored clinical trial budgets. She has been with USC for 14 years where she has gained extensive knowledge in negotiating and developing budgets for clinical trials. She has successfully built great working relationships with sponsoring companies and clinical research staff.
Rosy Lafko, responsible for the review, development, and negotiations of budgets for industry sponsored clinical trials. She works closely with our Medicare coverage analysis, Contracting and Accounting groups to ensure that our Institution’s cost is fully funded. While Rosy works mainly in Surgery and Cardiovascular device studies, she handles an array of many other therapeutic areas such as oncology, hematology, as well. Rosy also brings years of experience from having worked on the pharmaceutical side.
Esther Suko, responsible for review, negotiation, and finalization of industry-sponsored clinical trial budgets. Works mainly for Phase 1 studies with Oncology department. She also has years of experience in post award accounting.
Geronimo Hernandez, responsible for the budget element of clinical trials, I specialize in the assessment, negotiation, and administration of budgets to advance our institution’s studies. Since starting in 2019, my role has involved close collaboration with various departments to synchronize funding with the regulatory and operational demands of clinical studies. I oversee budgets for a broad range of disciplines within our institution, including oncology, hematology, pulmonary, and more, ensuring each is aligned with our clinical trials’ goals and requirements.
